The Optical Manipulation Group has developed a number of innovative methodologies particularly in the following areas

Optical Trapping and sorting incl. new trap geometries and passive sorting schemes

Photoporation and cell transfection

Raman spectroscopy : microlfuidic detection for liquor analysis and bio-analyte detection and modulated Raman methods for early diagnosis of disease

Novel light fields such as 'diffraction-free' beams and 'sub-diffractive' light patterning

Many of the methods are covered by intellectual property.

We are open to discussions for exploitation of our research. Please contact Kishan Dholakia ( This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. ) with your query.
